From Lindsay:
Hello ladies!
I can’t believe it’s already been over a week since I got to be with you all! In reflecting over our time together, I’ve been so reminded of The Lord’s love and faithfulness towards us. Each of our stories are unique and precious, and it was an honor to give you a glimpse into my journey through all of this identity stuff in the last few years. Here are a few things I wanted to recap from our night!
MAKEUP DEMO! (Here are the products I used in order of application!)
1. Beauty Sponge – “Real Techniques” sponge from Ulta
Make sure you completely soak your sponge until its full of water, ring it out until it’s damp, and you’re ready to go!
2. Concealer – Maybelline “Instant Age Rewind” Concealer
Put this underneath your eyes, on your eyelids, around the nostrils to conceal redness, and on the chin to highlight the center of the face. Blend out with damp beauty sponge.
3. Powder – Maybelline “Fit Me” Loose Setting Powder
Always set cream products with powder products so they stay in place throughout the day. I do this with my damp sponge as well! Put powder anywhere you applied concealer; especially underneath the eyes and eyelids!
4. Bronzer – Physicians Formula “Butter Bronzer”
Bronzer is meant to define the natural shadows and curves on the face. Focus around the hairline/forehead, the hollows of the cheek bones, and underneath the jawline.
5. Blush – Physicians Formula “Powder Palette” Blush
Focus this on the apples of the cheeks and blend upwards towards the ears.
6. Mascara – L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise (waterproof!)
I like to curl my lashes and then apply a few coats of this. For extra volume, wiggle the brush at the base of the lashes and pull upwards!
Attached in this email are some of the Bible verses I refer to when I’m writing those affirmations on my mirror. I am constantly referring back to these when I forget or just need to be reminded of my worth in Christ. Remember that our identity in Him has ALREADY been given to us! We don’t have to strive, work for, our compete for our identity. It’s already something we have, so now it’s up to us to receive it and live out of that authentic place!
The last thing I want to leave you with is this…
No matter what’s on the outside, your body shape, whether you ever wear an ounce of makeup in your life, your weight, the clothes you wear, the texture of your hair… YOU are beautifully and wonderfully made in the image of our perfect Savior. He spent time crafting you, ALL of you, to be a reflection of His perfect beauty. YOU image and reflect your Heavenly Father PERFECTLY!!!! The stuff we do on the outside to feel confident and beautiful is just a bonus.
I love you all & I feel honored to know you.
